Robert Silversmith is a founding partner of Silversmith & Associates Law Firm, PLLC originally formed in 1995 by partners from several of New York City's most prominent real estate law firms.

Over the years, Silversmith & Associates Law Firm, PLLC has expanded and now provides legal services in commercial and residential real estate litigation, real estate transactions, administrative proceedings, general commercial litigation and appellate practice.

The firm emphasizes attention to detail and communication with its clients so that client needs can be met.

Robert Silversmith is a graduate of Kenyon College and holds Juris Doctor and MBA degrees from Tulane University. In 1982, he received a Master of Law degree from New York University School of Law.

Bob's background includes Chairing the Advisory Council of the Housing Part of the Civil Court of the City of New York, as well as Chairing New York County Lawyers' Association's (NYCLA's) Judiciary Committee. His service includes membership on NYCLA's Board of Directors and he served two terms as chair of NYCLA's Civil Court Practice Section. He is a former chair of its Commercial Landlord-Tenant Subcommittee. Bob has been active as a member of NYCLA's Committee on Committees, which serves to guide NYCLA's many committees. He has appeared in NYCLA's Leadership manual. Bob was selected each year from 2011 through 2020 to New York Super Lawyers. He was a member of NYCLA's Task Force on Judicial Budget Cuts. Bob has been involved in the real estate field for almost forty years, and has been a t Continuing Legal Education (CLE) lecturer. He is often cited in Legal, Business and Cooperative Journals.

JASON GARBER : JASON

Jason’s background includes over thirty-five years of litigation in Commercial and Residential Landlord-Tenant Proceedings, Supreme Court Actions, and Administrative Proceedings. Jason has argued numerous appeals before the Appellate Term and the Appellate Division. He represents clients on real estate related matters before various Administrative Agencies, including the Environmental Control Board, the DHCR and in Criminal Court.

Jason has appeared as a Lecturer on Landlord-Tenant Law at the New York County Lawyers’ Association and is a member of NYCLA’s Supreme Court and Judiciary committees.

Jason received his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Fordham University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He enjoys sporting events and reading.

MARC J. SCHNEIDER : MARC

MARC J. SCHNEIDER : MARC

Marc is a Senior Associate experienced in real estate matters including lease disputes, mechanic's lien foreclosure actions; yellowstone injunctions, declaratory judgments and commercial and residential summary proceedings. He has prosecuted and defended appeals in the Appellate Courts of the State of New York. He has advised clients on the interface between landlord-tenant law and the Bankruptcy Code. Marc has litigated general commercial matters including breach of contract disputes, enforcement of money judgments, fraudulent conveyance actions, brokerage disputes, declaratory judgment and preliminary and permanent injunctive actions, and Article 78 proceedings. Marc has practiced before a myriad of New York State and New York City courts and Administrative agencies including DHCR and OATH.

Marc received his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University.

Marc is fluent in Spanish.

Dennis H. McCoobery: Dennis

Dennis has practiced law in New York for over twenty years. His primary background and experience is in real estate, construction and landlord-tenant litigation. Dennis has experience in general commercial litigation, and has litigated large and complex construction matters. Throughout his career, he has litigated and arbitrated numerous types of real estate-related matters, including commercial lease disputes, broker commission disputes, mechanic’s lien foreclosure actions, rent re-set arbitrations and summary non-payment and holdover proceedings He has tried cases in New York State Supreme Court and New York City Civil Court; argued appeals in the Appellate Division; and arbitrated cases in the American Arbitration Association.

Dennis received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University, and his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
